Windows 11 One-time purchase

One ultrawide,
two real monitors

DisplaySplit makes Windows see each part of your ultrawide as its own display, so fullscreen, screen sharing and every app behave as if two monitors were on your desk.

Layout
Splits any panel 21:9 or wider
3440 × 1440
3840 × 1080
3840 × 1600

Everything that expects a monitor
gets one

Snapping windows side by side only arranges them. DisplaySplit changes what Windows believes is plugged in.

Fullscreen

Fullscreen stays on one side

Video, browser fullscreen and presentations fill one screen instead of stretching across the panel.

Screen sharing

Share one screen in calls

Teams, Zoom and Meet list two screens. Share one at a normal shape and keep your notes on the other.

Taskbar

A taskbar on each screen

Each display gets its own taskbar, and Win + Shift + arrow moves a window from one to the other.

Game mode

Games get the whole panel

List your games once. DisplaySplit steps aside while they run, at your panel's full refresh rate.

Switch it on
and watch what changes

Without DisplaySplit, fullscreen video stretches across the whole panel.

Set up
in about a minute

Nothing on your display changes until the last step, and even then you have 15 seconds to undo it.

  1. 01

    It finds your ultrawide

The wizard checks your displays and shows what each new screen will measure before anything changes.

  2. 02

    You choose the layout

Two equal halves, 60/40, a wide centre with two wings, or drag the divider wherever you like.

  3. 03
    15

Keep it, or it undoes itself

Every change waits 15 seconds for you to confirm. If you don't, your display goes back to how it was.

Built so it can't
leave you stuck

  • Changes undo themselves

Any new layout reverts after 15 seconds unless you confirm that you can see it.

  • One shortcut turns it off

It works from anywhere, even when the app's window isn't visible.

  • It stays off after a crash

If DisplaySplit ever closes unexpectedly, the split doesn't come back until you turn it on.

  • The app sends nothing

No sign-in inside the app and no usage tracking. Your licence is checked on your own machine.

What it
doesn't do

Better to know now than to find out after paying.

No G-Sync or HDR while split
Variable refresh and HDR are unavailable on the split screens. Game mode restores both by handing the whole display back.
About one frame of delay
Drawing two screens onto one panel adds a small delay. You won't notice it in desktop work; competitive players should use game mode.
Some protected video shows black
Streaming services that use hardware copy protection may not play on a split screen. Pause the split to watch them.
The sign-in screen isn't split
The split starts after you sign in to Windows, so the lock and sign-in screens use the whole display.

What the installer puts on your PC

  • The DisplaySplit app

It runs in the notification area by the clock.

  • A virtual display driver

This is what lets Windows see more than one monitor.

  • A certificate created on your own PC

Windows needs it to load that driver. It is unique to your machine and is not shared with anyone.

Uninstalling from Windows Settings removes all three. The installer asks before each step and makes no other changes.

Questions
people ask

Is this the same as snapping windows side by side?

No. Snapping only arranges windows. Windows still sees one monitor, so fullscreen video, games and screen sharing use the whole panel. DisplaySplit makes Windows itself see separate displays, which is why those things start behaving.

Do I have to pay before I can try it?

You can download it with just an email address and go through setup for free, including seeing exactly how your display would be divided. Turning the split on needs a licence key. If it doesn't suit your setup, ask for a refund within 30 days.

Will my games still run at full refresh rate?

Yes, with game mode. Add a game once and DisplaySplit pauses whenever it is running, so the game gets one full-width display with G-Sync and HDR. The split returns when you close the game.

Which monitors does it work with?

Any display that is 21:9 or wider, such as 3440 × 1440 or 5120 × 1440 panels. Ordinary 16:9 displays connected alongside are left alone.

Does it work on Windows 11 Home?

Yes. Home, Pro and the other editions of Windows 11 are supported.

What if something goes wrong with my display?

Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F12 to turn the split off instantly. Layout changes also revert on their own after 15 seconds unless you confirm them, and the split stays off after any unexpected shutdown.

How do I remove it?

Uninstall it from Windows Settings like any other app. That removes the app, the display driver and the certificate.

Do you collect any data?

The app collects nothing: no sign-in, no analytics, no usage tracking, and your licence key is verified on your own PC. This website asks for your email address when you download, so we can send the link and occasional offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
