Who you are buying from
DisplaySplit is made by Justin Comstock. Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: Dodo Payments sells you the licence, takes your payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt. Its own buyer terms apply to the payment itself. These terms cover the DisplaySplit software and your licence to use it.
Your licence
A licence is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. It lets you, one person, use DisplaySplit on up to two PCs that you own or control, and it includes every 1.x release.
To move a licence to a new PC, choose Remove licence from this PC in the app first, or email us if the old PC is gone and we will free its place.
You may not resell, share or publish your licence key, or try to get around the licence check.
Refunds
If DisplaySplit does not work for your setup, or you simply don't want it, email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase from the address you paid with, and you will get a full refund. A refunded licence key stops working. This does not limit any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
What the software changes
DisplaySplit installs a virtual display driver and a certificate created on your PC, and changes how Windows arranges your displays while the split is on. Every layout change reverts by itself after 15 seconds unless you confirm you can see it. Uninstalling DisplaySplit removes the driver, the certificate and the app.
Updates
Updates within version 1 are free. A future major version, if there is one, may be sold separately; your 1.x licence keeps working either way.
No warranty
DisplaySplit is provided as it is. We work to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will work with every display, graphics card, driver or Windows update, or that it will be free of errors. That is what the 30-day refund is for.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to DisplaySplit is limited to the amount you paid for your licence, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Ending the licence
Your licence ends if the payment is refunded or charged back, or if you break these terms. You can stop using DisplaySplit and uninstall it at any time.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version applies to purchases made after the date at the top of this page. The terms you bought under continue to cover your licence.
